When the first part of "Dub out of Poland" compilation series got released in 2001, it was a pioneer attempt to present Polish dub music.
It was a proof that even here there are many interesting and unknown home producers. Also, some already established names presented their so far undiscovered, more experimental side of their activity.Comments (2) |

New Zealand music inspired by roots reggae has been quite popular in Poland for years and the bands like Fat Freddy's Drop or Salmonella Dub are recognised not only by the reggae fans.
The reason of this culty status is a unique sound of the kiwi land - proper, original, often full of soul vocals, natural and open for modern influences in the same time.

All meetings at the Reggae University start at 12.00 at the Castle in Ostróda at Mickiewicza street 22, in the centre of the town. Details in the festival program.
Entrance is free, only for the festival audience. The room for meetings will be equipped with audio-visual gear necessary for music workshop (DJ Perch) and movies presentations (Don Letts). Additional guest of Michał "Lubay" Lubiszewski at his Saturday meeting will be Sławek Gołaszewski (journalist, writer, musician, philosopher).Comments (1) |
